3 Cold Weather Accessory MUST HAVES

Earmuffs: Express / Coat: Aritzia / Bag: Zara (similar) / Booties: Franco Sarto (similar) / Tights: Actually thigh high socks via American Apparel (a cold weather MUST HAVE)

Living in NYC, you’re outside a lot. During the fall/winter, you definitely want to be comfortable (which means warm) but still super cute, which is I love my cold weather accessories. The main accessories to stock up on are earmuffs/beanies, scarves, and gloves. I honestly feel you should get the classics first (black in every category) then move on to the colors you wear most.. PLUS they make great gifts if you’re still looking for ideas!

Beanies are the perfect thing to just throw on and be completely warm, especially if you are having a bad hair day. You can dress these down for a more a “borrowed from the boys” look or you can still be girlie with a lighter color (like THIS LOOK).

If your hair is done and you don’t want it to be completely flat after wearing a beanie, go with earmuffs! When it comes to earmuffs, the BIGGER (+ more drastic) the better! These are such a cute way to keep your ears warm and I feel like they always make my hair look better when I wear them, too. PS- Ugg makes earmuffs that double as headphones!!

Below I tagged a ton of super cute earmuffs and beanies (in all different price ranges):

Probably my #1 favorite cold weather accessory, I have SO many scarves (and keep getting more?). I love to wear them with almost every look, even if it’s not that cold out. I love big blanket scarves (like THIS look) and smaller scarves.. no discrimination here. When it’s not super cold out, I can throw a chunky scarf on with a lighter jacket (LIKE THIS LOOK), or they can just help add to more dimension and contrast to an outfit (LIKE THIS LOOK or THIS LOOK). I actually just got these two cute pink scarves from LOFT (HERE and HERE) after I saw them in the store and became obsessed.

When the cold weather starts to REALLY hit, gloves are so necessary. I personally love (and need) the tech-friendly gloves with the touch screen tips (obvs). I picked up the cutest pair of black ones for this season at Anthropologie during the Black Friday sales. If you want to use your phone, but don’t want the tech tips, you can always go with a pair of convertible mittens (in cashmere). I also scooped up a regular pair of gloves in agrey cable knit color from Urban Outfitters (currently 25% off all cold weather gear) because they go with everything else the black doesn’t cover.
