3 Ways to a Unique Wedding Guest Dress

Wearing: Reformation

Hi guys! It’s officially wedding season and I wanted to share some tips on how to change up your look when shopping for a wedding guest dress. I noticed that the typical look for a guest dress is all black. I mean, you really can’t go wrong with all black. However, let me offer a few ways to stand out without upstaging the bride.

My preference for shopping is ALWAYS shopping online, and that doesn’t stop at wedding guest dress shopping. I feel you can see a lot more of the selection, compare prices, and search for a specific style you make be looking for. Lately, I’ve been loving REVOLVE and REFORMATION because they are so easy to order and return (aka; try on at home). PS; if you are shopping from REVOLVE, they offer free 2-day shipping and use code “CANDY” for 10% off!

1. Wear a bold color

For this particular wedding occasion, I opted for an emerald green dress since it was heading to the fall season. Since it wasn’t quite fall yet, I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t be too warm and loved that this dress was a halter style. Another great color for the season is RED. If you’ve been keeping up with the red carpets lately, all the celebrities are wearing red in many different styles.

2. Wear a jumpsuit instead of a dress

Jumpsuits are alllll the rage right now. How chic would it be to show up in a classy jumpsuit (that could even maybe mistaken for a dress)?! Since the jumpsuit style can be a bit edgy, it would be perfect to stick with the color black. Try a classic chic jumpsuit LIKE THIS or loose jumpsuit LIKE THIS. If you’re looking to be extra edgy, you can try a style LIKE THIS.

3. Wear a unique style

Try different styles that are not your typical look for a dress. Some cute looks to try are a one shoulder dress like THIS or THIS, or a slip dress style or kimono style. I personally just ordered THIS ONE SHOULDER STYLE to try for my next wedding! PS; just stumbled upon this site with so many SUPER cute styles!
