All Black for Going to Work + Out After

OK, who else’s go-to look is a black-on-black ensemble? I know, I know, it’s Spring – but for us working folks, that’s only on the weekends. During the week it’s all about that corporate world and sometimes you can’t go wrong with an all black look. Plus black is a classic- no matter the season.

To keep with my theme of to-work or from-work transition outfits, I wanted to share the perfect outfit for going out right from work when there’s no time to change. Lately I’ve had quite a few events after work and I don’t want to have to change before I go there (or even to carry extra clothes). This look is perfect because you can leave the blazer on while at work + just throw it over your shoulders for when you’re out on the town.

Part of what makes this look so sexy is that the cami is 100% silk, but the real key is to wear pieces that are all fitted for your body type. Grab pieces that you already have and include one statement piece that stands out from the rest of the look. For this particular look, my statement piece was my shoes. I selected a two-toned heel to bring in some neutral. What I love about the two-toned heels are that you can wear them with anything!

To help you find a statement piece, I tagged a ton of two-toned heels below in different colors, heel heights, and prices:

  1. While indulging in my coffee and giant chocolate chip cookie, I read your blog. Loved your blog this morning about the perfect go to outfit transitioning from work to after work. So chic and simple to put together. Love the shoes also! 🙂

  2. I can totally relate when you said that Spring is often felt during weekends by us lady bosses! Love how you transformed a black outfit to be worn in the office to an all-night party wear! Btw your hair made it even more stunning!xx
