How to Get the Bandana Choker Look

Happy Fourth of July!! Time to talk about chokers…

I’m not sure if you have noticed, but I am ALL about the chokers lately! AND all of my chokers are DIY (do-it-yourself)! It’s honestly SO easy, you can really create any look that you want for a much less price than buying. I’ve even redesigned some of my vintage jewelry into modern chokers, check it out for more inspo.

Most of my DIY chokers are different kinds of ribbons and are as simple as tying it around your neck. You do want to be careful as to not tie it too tight so you can still function (aka; breathe and eat). I recently did a mini haul at Michael’s to pick up some new ribbons and different craft supplies, like this Bandana, to create some new choker looks.

For this post, I styled a Fourth of July-inspired look with a simple navy blue dress paired with a statement red bandana choker. See HERE for another 90’s inspired Fourth of July look!

I’ve teamed up with Liz of Liz Avenue to share 3 ways to wear the choker style. PLUS – Liz shows exactly how to tie your bandana to get this choker look, see the video below:

Check out Liz’s post on other ways to wear a bandana HERE.
