Make a Quick HALLOWEEN Costume {without it looking quick}

h2-2Socks: American Apparel / Skirt: American Apparel / Shirt: Polo Ralph Lauren / Scrunchie: American Apparel / Booties: Sam Edelman

Happy Halloween! I wanted to share my SCHOOL GIRL costume from over the weekend and provide you with some ideas to pull together a quick costume, without it looking quick. I like to use real clothes instead of your standard in-a-bag costume because the bag costume can look so cheap. I pulled together this outfit with most of things I already had, and supplemented the rest from American Apparel.

Using what you already have in your closet is what makes this so quick to put together. I took a classic white button down shirt and just tied the ends of the shirt to create the cropped look and closed a few buttons for coverage. I wore a maroon sports bra underneath and threw on a grey sweater, to emulate Britney Spears from the ‘hit me baby one more time’ video.

The American Apparel thigh-high socks were my favorite buy from this haul because I am able to wear these other times and not just for Halloween. They kept my legs extra warm and fit amazing (highly recommend!). Last but not least, I wore a fun little white scrunchie in my hair for a 90s/80s look and of course the glasses!
