Post-Rain, Summer Casual

We’ve been having some serious rain sessions lately here in NYC. Granted they don’t last very long, but you definitely don’t want to get caught in one. (Happened to me last night after seeing PETS, see snapchat for more, username: awitzdree). I’m sharing a summer casual look since it’s hard to know to how to dress for those on-again, off-again rainy days when it’s still so humid!

I love these high-waisted, distressed denim jeans! They are seriously so comfy and were perfect for the post-rain session. I threw on my vans hightops since the streets were covered in deep puddles and I wasn’t sure if it would randomly start raining again. However, it was still crazy hot and humid so this woven tank top was perfect to help keep me just the right amount of cool.

This necklace was a really long, and really old, piece that I’ve had forever. I picked it out to add to the look because the colors were perfect and I turned it into a choker-esque look (obsessed). It’s all about making what you have work for your look. I like to keep accessories simple, so since I wore the statement belt and necklace pieces, I opted for dainty rings + my favorite Catbird Kitten Mitten.

Nice look! I like the knitted tank top teamed with ripped jeans and those cool trainers. A perfect style for day offs! In love with that leather belt…
