Top 5 Fall Trends for 2018

It is OCTOBER 1st!!

Technically the first day of fall was about 2 weeks ago, but now it is starting to FEEL a lot like fall.

There are some apparent fall trends that came out during NYFW, from the runways to the streets, and I highlighted them below:

1. THE COLOR YELLOW

Yellow is the color of the season. I personally don’t have a lot of yellow pieces, nor do I think I necessarily look great in yellow. However there are many different ways to wear this color, it could be just a hint of the tone.

2. NEON

I’m pretty sure the trends have switched to more 80’s trends, from 90’s. This means MORE NEON! I’ve seen SO much neon green all over. At first it was a bit blinding, but it is has been growing on me. Neon clutches or accessories is the easiest way to rock the trend.

3. WESTERN BOOTS

This style was pretty popular a few seasons ago. Lately, I’ve been seeing the boots go very western. These are the cutest with long dresses or of course with your fave pair of jeans.

4. SNAKE PRINT

This trend I am super excited about. I am currently picking out skirts that I like with brown backsplashes and black backsplashes. These can easily be dressed up with over the knee boots or dressed down with a casual sweater and sneaks. Such an easy way to look on trend with keeping your own style. I am also eyeing this cute TOPSHOP BAG with hints of the snake trend and these KNEE HIGH BOOTS.

5. LEOPARD PRINT

Animal print, cheetah print, whatever you want to call it. This is EVERYWHERE. You can integrate this into your outfit with a major focus on it by wearing a skirt or sweater. OR you can wear it in a more subtle way as an accessory like an animal print belt, shoes, or a bag.

Here I styled the print as a duster and I added it as my third piece. If you don’t feel like spending on a trendy piece, borrow from your friend’s closet! I’m sure SOMEONE has something with Leopard print in their closet. This piece was actually my friend’s robe – ha!
