If you’re not sure what you will see when FALL starts to creep around, be sure it will be plenty of soft florals. Any florals with the brown/black undertones will be all over. It’s the perfect and easy way to transition to the cooler season by mixing what you may wear in the summer (short dress) with some Fall compliments (OTK boots).
I picked up this REFORMATION dress during their big end of summer sale where items can go up to 70% off! If you’ve never heard of it, stay tuned for next year because it happens every year. NOTE TO THIS; the prices on the pieces go lower as the sale comes to an end.
I love the long sleeve summer dress look for Fall because you can be comfy AND warm. The florals need NOT be extravagant, but the more subtle the better. If you look at the design on this dress from a far, you’d probably not even be too sure if they are florals or not. This works because it adds a feminine vibe to the look without being covered in flowers.
My FAVORITE part of Fall/Winter is the OTK (Over The Knee) boots!! Stuart Weitzman does this sooo well. I’ve spent a few Fall seasons looking for the perfect OTK boots (without the hefty price tag), but no other boot seriously comes close. These have the best fit and look.
This season I picked up an additional pair in a taupe color (my fave color to wear always) so I can wear them with more looks. The taupe is definitely more of a casual look than the black, and I like that. If you are on the fence about getting a pair, it is definitely worth the investment and just make sure to take care of them so they last. TIP: Try on all the different styles (highland, tieland, lowland) before buying as they can have a slightly different fit to each.
